Finding Inspiration for a Colour Scheme

Inspiration for a colour scheme can come from almost anywhere. It might be a striking piece of artwork, a favourite item of furniture, or even a wallpaper design you’ve already fallen in love with. Sometimes we begin with a completely blank canvas and look to nature for inspiration instead.

The inspiration behind the Property Reviver’s branding came from the other side of the world, during a visit to New Zealand’s South Island in 2013. The vivid turquoise waters of Lake Pukaki and the vibrant lime-green moss on the foothills of Aoraki / Mount Cook became the starting point for the colour palette.

Sometimes colour inspiration can be found right in your own living room. Other times, it appears when you least expect it — perhaps while travelling thousands of miles from home.
